Would you like to find time to continually educate yourself on the real estate market and latest information? Are you finding it difficult to read all of the articles you receive via email and on your favorite websites? What if you could listen to the latest real estate information while you work on something else? That's where podcasts come into play.
There are a huge variety of real estate based podcasts available today -- investing, commercial real estate, home sales, buyers/sellers information, real estate coaching... the list goes on and on. In this article, I will share examples of real-estate focused podcasts that will help keep you and your clients informed.
Listening to a podcast is one of the easiest ways to stay up-to-date on real estate topics, receive free success coaching, keep yourself motivated, practice good health, and stay centered. You can listen to podcasts while driving (unless it’s distracting), while following up with emails or preparing dinner, while you’re getting ready in the morning or right before bedtime. Make time to listen to some of the following podcasts, even if you can't listen to the whole thing in one sitting, and propel yourself into greater success. (Podcast links are examples of where you can listen to these podcasts. You may wish to use a difference source i.e. iTunes, Facebook, PlayerFM, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, etc).
Real Estate Coaching
Let’s start with real estate coaching podcasts. No matter where you’re at in your career, whether you're a new or experienced agent, a lot can be learned from other real estate professionals. Check out a few of these podcasts at a time, until you find one or more which fit your style. For example, this podcast by Jared James helps you focus on what it takes to become the top real estate agent.
Investment podcasts are always popular in the real estate industry. Whether you're investing in rentals, stocks, or bitcoin, you've got plenty of options in the podcast world. For example this podcast, from "We Study Billionaires." focuses on Bill Gates' success, motivation and advances in technology.
Marketing & Tips
Marketing is such an important part of real estate and your success as an agent. There's always room to learn a little bit more so you get the most out of your marketing efforts. For example, this podcast from Duct Tape Marketing, which reminds us of the importance of word-of-mouth advertising.
Helping Buyers and Sellers
Buyers and sellers are our bread and butter in the real estate industry. Helping them understand what's going on with buying, selling, inventory, etc. will help you become their go-to agent. Learn more about helping your buyers/sellers by staying educated with podcasts like this. Links to these podcasts can be shared with buyers and sellers to listen to on their own, or you can share individual podcasts in nurturing emails.
As a real estate entrepreneur it's important to get input from other entrepreneurs so you can continually grow and excel. Although the coaching section of this article includes examples of entrepreneurship, the following podcasts provide insights to help you overcome your fears and habits so you can build the business of your dreams. In this podcast, from Hack the Entrepreneur, you'll learn how to find the best message to entice clients and how to connect it to the right audience.
Health, Spiritual and Exercise
When it comes to performance, professional or personal, it's important to take care of your physical and emotional health. Whether you wish to workout, meditate, or learn more about effective eating habits and supplementation, these podcasts will enlighten you. If you want to learn what it takes to be a more memorable person (so important in this industry), listen to this podcast (one of my favorites).
On Being (Peabody Award)
The most successful agents make time to educate themselves using podcasts. Podcasts provide endless learning opportunities which can propel you into the success you've been dreaming of. You can learn more about real estate investing, how to improve the quality of your leads, gather information you can share with clients to boost your referrals, etc. Whether you take time at the beginning of your day, before a meeting, or while waiting for a client, make time for podcasts.
